IPOH

GUA TEMPURUNG 

Gua Tempurung is one of the largest limestone caves in Gopeng. The cave is made up of five large domes with coconut shell-like ceilings and contains a wealth of natural attractions which includes stalactites, stalagmites and impressive rock formations. There are guided tours available for those who like extreme activities.

KELLIE’S CASTLE

Kellie's Castle, which located in Batu Gajah, is an unfinished mansion built in the early 20th century by a Scottish planter, however the construction was abandoned upon his sudden demise in 1926. The castle combines Scottish and Moorish architectural elements. It is a popular tourist attraction with a tragic history, often rumoured to be haunted.

PULAU PANGKOR

Pulau Pangkor is a tropical paradise known for its white, sandy beaches and charming fishing villages. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, water sports, and exploring historical sites such as Dutch Fort, traditional boatyards and popular beaches such as Pantai Puteri Dewi, Pantai Pasir Bogak and Teluk Nipah.

TELUK INTAN LEANING TOWER

The leaning tower which stands at a height of 25.5 metres was originally built in 1885 during British colonial rule. Over the years, the soft soil beneath it caused the tower to lean to the left. Today, it become a well-known landmark that offers visitors the opportunity to climb its spiral staircase and enjoy panoramic views of Teluk Intan.

TAIPING LAKE GARDENS

Taiping Lake Gardens was originally a tin mining ground before it was transformed into a public garden in 1880. There are about ten scenic lakes and ponds distributed throughout the gardens. The gardens also feature a variety of wildlife, including swans and tortoises, making it a delightful destination for nature enthusiasts and history buffs alike. There are various attractions nearby the gardens include Maxwell Hill (Bukit Larut) which is ideal for jungle-trekking and camping; and Taiping Zoo which houses around 1500 animals from 140 species.

LATA KINJANG FOREST ECO PARK

This eco park is located around 25 km from Kampar and 45 km from Ipoh. The highlight of this park is the magnificent multi-tiered waterfall that is visible from the North-South Expressway. Visitors can explore well-marked trails, indulge in bird-watching, and immerse themselves in the beauty of the rainforest.

BUKIT MERAH LAKETOWN WATER PARK 

It is a theme park which features a variety of water attractions, including water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, and a range of water-based rides. An Orang Utan Island is built nearby to serve as a breeding sanctuary cum conservation, research and education centre for these lovable primates.

CAMERON HIGHLAND

Cameron Highlands is a scenic hill station located at the northwestern tip of Pahang. It is famous for its rolling tea estates, producing some of the country's finest teas. Visitors can explore the tea plantations, visit local strawberry farms, and enjoy the fresh produce markets. Besides, it is a popular destination for hiking and outdoor activities, with numerous trails leading to waterfalls, mossy forests, and panoramic viewpoints, providing a refreshing retreat for nature enthusiasts. Although it is not located in Perak, Cameron Highland is about 90 km east from Ipoh.
